Suryavanshi is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language action film directed by Rohit Shetty, produced by Shetty and Karan Johar under the banner of Rohit Shetty Picture and Dharma Productions respectively, in collaboration with Reliance Entertainment and Cape of Good Films. It is Shetty's fourth installment of Police Universe, and by far the most expensive police film in the history of Indian cinema. The film stars Katrina Kaif in the lead role along with Akshay Kumar. [1] [2] Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh will make cameos.

Kumar's character as DCP Veer Suryavanshi was announced at the end of Simba that served as a character introduction to Suryavanshi. [3] Kumar will play the role of the Anti-Terrorist Squad. [4] The film is written by Sajid Farhad, and co-scripted by writers Manav Das, Anu Rahi and Shivansh Tiwari. The release was due on March 25 due to the lockdown, but now it is going to be released on April 30, 2021.
